I finally realised something.
Ever since ive been to clubs and parties and sorts, ive always wondered why im not the kinda person whos been super enthu about hooking someone from there. Well, i guess the ideal vision for me is unfortunately, a long-term relationship. As much as i would like to deny this, and contiune in my fantasy of THE GAME, sadly thats the god honest truth. To me, parties is now about having a good time, if things go furthur, well i can go along with it. But i guess im still the traditional sort of person. Ha! the good ol' singaporean
Despite saying that, i got another realisation to write about. For this, i shall just go straight into in. The world is a effin' cruel illusion. Shakespear couldnt have put it better, the world is a stage and the men and woman are merely just players. The poet was unfortunately depicting the cold irony that the world then was not much different from the world now. Everyday people put on fronts, they put on fascades to show their different worlds different images. During work, we like to show we are dilligent. during play, we like to show we are fun. To impress people, there are many shows, being witty, mysterious, intelligent, adventureous. Some people loves this play, and some people do not. This is movie of society in itself, the very fabric of structure.
To reject this place, would be translated to into people who reject the ideas of a facade... being yourself? so how far can being yourself bring you in the world? unless being urself means being hardworking, or the ideal charecteristics of your "world"/environment, it probably wouldnt be very far at all.
This leads to society's defence against these rejectionist; isolation. To bridge this gap being the compliant and the non-conformist, people compromise. When people do not like to do something, and people who well, be themself... people compromise and if you dont. you are REJECTED. isolation-socially.
This stage cannot be defeated, it cannot be totally comprehend- , but like they say since you cant win, embrace it. but we have been doing that all those years. pretending, acting, playing ? we are all masters of it, but the best will always take the top seat.
